About Company:
R.T Communication Limited’s field of authority is data intelligence, analysis and communication. We are trusted solutions providers in these fields and have continued to provide and promote excellent services.
Job Description:
We are seeking a disciplined and technically sound Civil Engineer to anchor our infrastructure projects from design to delivery. This is a high-accountability role for an engineer who is as comfortable behind a drafting board as they are on a remote construction site.
Your mission is to translate complex blueprints into durable, safe, and efficient structures. You will own the "Site Integrity" lifecycle—conducting feasibility studies, supervising contractors, enforcing safety codes, and implementing maintenance schedules to ensure infrastructure longevity. If you possess a sharp eye for structural detail and the leadership grit to manage diverse site teams, we want you on our engineering front line.
Requirements:
1. Design, Planning & Feasibility
Engineering Precision: Develop detailed civil engineering designs and specifications, ensuring all plans comply with global engineering best practices and local safety codes.
Viability Assessment: Conduct site investigations and feasibility studies to assess soil conditions, environmental impacts, and structural requirements.
Financial Stewardship: Prepare accurate cost estimates and project budgets, ensuring resource allocation aligns with technical requirements.
2. Construction Supervision & Quality Control
On-Site Governance: Oversee contractors and artisans to ensure every foundation, concrete pour, and steel structure aligns perfectly with design specifications.
Structural Problem Solving: Conduct routine on-site inspections and provide immediate technical resolutions for any structural deviations or anomalies.
Safety & Compliance: Perform rigorous risk assessments and enforce HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards to ensure zero-accident sites.
3. Infrastructure Lifecycle & Maintenance
Preventive Engineering: Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules for existing structures to mitigate degradation and ensure long-term stability.
Upgrades & Repairs: Assess aging infrastructure and recommend strategic repairs or technological upgrades to extend the functional lifespan of assets.
Data Documentation: Maintain a "Gold Standard" of project documentation, including blueprints, daily progress reports, and regulatory compliance records.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s degree or HND in Civil Engineering.
Experience: 2–5 years of cognate experience in site supervision or infrastructure projects.
Technical Proficiency: Mastery in interpreting civil drawings, steel structures, and earthworks. Ability to work in remote or field locations is essential.
Certification: COREN registration or eligibility is a significant advantage; HSE certifications are preferred.
Core Competencies
Technical Literacy: Proficiency in reading and implementing complex civil engineering specifications.
Contractor Management: Proven ability to lead and enforce quality standards among artisans and third-party contractors.
Attention to Detail: A "zero-tolerance" approach to structural errors or safety non-compliance.
