Job Description:

Abmtek Limited is seeking an elite Mercedes-Benz Mechanical Technician to lead our high-end mechanical service division. This is a role for a veteran of the craft—someone with a minimum of 8 years of deep-tissue experience in the mechanical anatomy of Mercedes-Benz vehicles.

You are expected to be a "Master of the Engine," capable of performing full overhauls, managing complex drivetrain removals, and ensuring that every vehicle leaves the workshop with zero mechanical comebacks. We are looking for precision, technical mastery, and the ability to interpret complex workshop manuals with the same ease as a second language.

Requirements:

1. Advanced Engine & Drivetrain Engineering

• Mechanical Overhauls: Lead complete engine rebuilds, addressing head gasket failures, timing chain issues, and the precision replacement of pistons, rings, and camshafts.

• Transmission Mastery: Handle the removal and reinstallation of sophisticated 7G & 9G Tronic transmissions and torque converters.

• Drivetrain Integrity: Diagnose and repair prop shafts, CV joints, and mechanical slippage, ensuring the drivetrain delivers power with German-engineered smoothness.

2. Suspension, Steering & Brake Systems

• Active Suspension Care: Service and replace mechanical components of air suspension systems, shock absorbers, and struts.

• Precision Steering: Diagnose and resolve mechanical steering rack issues and wheel hub/bearing replacements.

• Braking Excellence: Ensure the safety of our clients by repairing hydraulic leaks, servicing parking brake mechanisms, and resolving mechanical vibrations/imbalances.

3. Cooling & Quality Governance

• Auxiliary Systems: Replace water pumps, thermostats, and serpentine belts, ensuring the cooling system maintains optimal operating temperatures.

• Torque Specification Compliance: Strictly adhere to workshop manual torque specs for every bolt and component to maintain structural integrity.

• Quality Gatekeeping: Conduct rigorous mechanical inspections and post-repair test drives to ensure a "Right First Time" delivery.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of proven experience working primarily on Mercedes-Benz vehicles.

• Technical Mastery: Ability to perform independent, complete engine rebuilds and handle high-level mechanical diagnostics.

• Standards: Strong knowledge of German vehicle specifications and the ability to interpret advanced workshop manuals.

• Certification: Technical certification or an Automotive Mechanical Diploma is highly preferred.
