Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable, friendly, and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team in Kubwa. As the face of our business at the point of sale, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, ensuring accurate cash handling, and maintaining an organized checkout area. The ideal candidate is trustworthy, efficient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail or service environment.

Requirements:

• Point of Sale (POS) Operations: Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including cash, card, and digital payment methods.

• Cash Reconciliation: Balance the cash drawer at the start and end of every shift, ensuring all funds are accounted for and documenting any discrepancies immediately.

• Customer Engagement: Provide a warm, professional welcome to customers. Assist with inquiries, handle product scanning/bagging, and ensure a smooth, positive checkout experience.

• Record Keeping: Maintain neat and accurate logs of all sales transactions and ensure receipts/invoices are issued correctly.

• Environment Maintenance: Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and well-stocked with essential supplies (e.g., receipt rolls, bags, etc.).

• Security & Compliance: Adhere to all company safety and security protocols regarding cash handling and store policies. Report any suspicious activities to management.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: A relevant qualification (e.g., OND, NCE, or Senior Secondary School Certificate with documented experience).

• Experience: Previous experience in a cashier or retail customer service role is an advantage.
