Job Description:
Arlington Insurance is seeking a commercially driven, high-performing Business Development Executive to lead the expansion of our public sector and corporate accounts portfolio. In this role, you will serve as a strategic relationship builder, tasked with driving the adoption of Arlington’s institutional insurance products and premium finance solutions. You will navigate both corporate boardrooms and public sector Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), converting complex risk management needs into high-value accounts.
The ideal candidate blends deep knowledge of the Nigerian insurance landscape with the diplomatic acumen required to secure government tenders and manage long-term corporate partnerships.
Requirements:
Portfolio Growth & Market Penetration
Origination: Identify, target, and capture new business opportunities across public sector MDAs and high-value private corporations.
Solution Selling: Drive institutional adoption of Arlington's core insurance packages and innovative premium finance solutions.
Tender Management: Lead the end-to-end preparation and presentation of institutional proposals, formal biddings, and high-stakes client pitches.
Account & Relationship Management
Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate, deepen, and sustain executive-level relationships with corporate partners and public sector decision-makers.
Brand Representation: Serve as an official ambassador for Arlington at strategic networking forums, industry conferences, and high-level client assemblies.
Retention Strategy: Manage won accounts pro-actively to ensure client satisfaction, timely policy renewals, and portfolio upselling.
Pipeline Discipline & Reporting
Target Accountability: Establish, maintain, and aggressively advance a transparent sales pipeline to consistently hit monthly and quarterly revenue goals.
Strategic Reporting: Provide structured, data-driven pipeline velocity and business development metrics to senior management regularly.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Professional Background
Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a closely related discipline.
Experience: 3–5 years of verifiable experience in corporate business development, B2B sales, or insurance marketing.
Sector Advantage: A pre-existing, strong professional network within Nigerian corporate circles or government MDAs is a massive advantage.
Professional Certifications: Active certification from the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN, ACIIN, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
Core Knowledge & Skills
Market Mastery: Deep functional understanding of corporate insurance products, policy frameworks, and the operational mechanics of the Nigerian insurance ecosystem.
Interpersonal Excellence: Elite presentation, high-stakes negotiation, and business communication skills.
