Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Manager, Pre-Delivery Inspection to lead our vehicle inspection operations. In this critical role, you will be the final gatekeeper of quality, ensuring that every automobile meets our rigorous safety, functional, and aesthetic standards before it reaches the customer.

As an Assistant Manager, you will supervise a technical team, coordinate across departments, and drive process improvements to ensure our delivery pipeline remains efficient and our customers remain satisfied. Requirements:

Operations & Quality Oversight

  • PDI Supervision: Manage and oversee all daily pre-delivery inspection activities to ensure a seamless workflow from the service bay to the showroom floor.

  • Standards Enforcement: Ensure every vehicle strictly adheres to established quality, safety, and regulatory compliance standards.

  • Defect Management: Identify, document, and escalate vehicle defects, working closely with technical teams to ensure 100% resolution before delivery.

Coordination & Reporting

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between the technical, sales, and service departments to resolve any pre-delivery bottlenecks.

  • Documentation: Maintain meticulous inspection records, checklists, and performance reports to ensure full traceability of every vehicle.

  • Status Updates: Provide regular updates to management on inspection timelines and any recurring quality trends.

Process Improvement

  • Efficiency Gains: Continuously review and refine inspection protocols to enhance operational efficiency without compromising on quality.

  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to the inspection team, fostering a culture of precision and accountability.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or a relevant technical qualification in Engineering or Automotive Technology.

  • Experience: Proven experience within the automobile industry is mandatory. Previous experience in a PDI or quality control role is highly preferred.

  • Technical Expertise:

    • Deep understanding of modern vehicle systems, mechanical components, and electronics.

    • Familiarity with industry-standard inspection processes and diagnostic tools.

  • Core Competencies:

    • Attention to Detail: An uncompromising eye for identifying even the smallest defects or inconsistencies.

    • Problem-Solving: The ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and coordinate effective solutions.

    • Leadership: Strong ability to manage a technical team and communicate effectively with stakeholders across the business.

    • Organization: Capability to manage high volumes of vehicle data and inspection schedules simultaneously.
