Job Description:
Are you a visionary Mechanical or Electrical Engineering graduate ready to build the future of industry? AIG is launching its Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) Program, a high-intensity, structured development initiative designed to transform fresh talent into world-class engineering professionals.
Located at our Agbara facility, this program offers more than just a job—it is a hands-on immersion into the technical heart of our operations. You will work alongside veteran engineers, mastering complex machinery, power systems, and innovative processes that drive long-term industrial success.
Requirements:
1. Technical Mastery & Systems Immersion
Mechanical Path: Gain deep exposure to rotating equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, and preventive maintenance frameworks.
Electrical Path: Master industrial power distribution, PLC programming, control systems, and electrical safety protocols.
Cross-Functional Rotation: Spend time across various production lines to understand the end-to-end manufacturing lifecycle.
2. Operational Excellence & Safety
Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Learn to diagnose equipment failures using structured methodologies like the "5 Whys" and Fishbone diagrams.
Safety Stewardship: Implement and enforce rigorous HSE standards, ensuring a "Zero-Harm" environment on the shop floor.
Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in production and propose engineering solutions to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
3. Professional Growth & Governance
Mentorship: Benefit from direct coaching by Senior Engineers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
Project Management: Lead or support small-scale engineering projects, managing timelines, resources, and technical documentation.
Compliance: Ensure all engineering activities align with both local regulatory standards and international best practices (ISO standards).
Qualifications and Skills:
Academic & Professional Profile
Education: Minimum of B.Sc / HND in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: 0 – 3 years (Fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply).
NYSC: Must have completed the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.
Location: Applicants must reside within Agbara or its immediate environs (e.g., Lusada, Igbesa, Opic).
