Job Description:

We are seeking a driven and technically grounded Entry-Level Electrical Engineer to join our project execution team. This role is designed for a high-potential graduate eager to bridge the gap between classroom theory and real-world construction. You will work under the mentorship of senior engineers to support the design, installation, and testing of complex electrical systems.

From interpreting schematics and performing load calculations to supervising the installation of transformers and switchgear, you will be on the front lines of our projects. Requirements:

1. Design Assistance & Technical Documentation

• Drafting & Layouts: Assist in creating and updating electrical layouts, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), and wiring schedules using AutoCAD (and Revit where applicable).

• Load Analysis: Support senior engineers in performing fundamental load calculations and cable sizing to ensure system efficiency.

• Blueprint Mastery: Read and accurately interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications for on-site implementation.

2. Site Execution & Equipment Installation

• Equipment Deployment: Support the physical installation of critical infrastructure, including transformers, switchgear, distribution boards (DBs), and Motor Control Centres (MCCs).

• Supervision & Compliance: Participate in the inspection of completed works to ensure they align with project specifications and international safety standards.

• Safety Stewardship: Maintain a "Safety First" mindset, ensuring strict adherence to site rules and company HSE procedures.

3. Testing, Commissioning & Troubleshooting

• System Validation: Assist with continuity, insulation, and earth resistance testing, meticulously recording results for project documentation.

• Performance Analysis: Support the analysis of system performance data to identify basic faults or inefficiencies.

• Issue Escalation: Identify technical bottlenecks and coordinate with senior engineers to implement prompt solutions.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical/Electronics Engineering.

• Experience: 1 – 3 years of post-NYSC experience in electrical project execution within a construction or engineering environment.

• Technical Tools: Proficiency in AutoCAD (familiarity with Revit is a strong advantage).

• Professional Path: Membership in the NSE or progress toward professional certification is an added advantage.
