Job Description:

  • This role is the backbone of the organization’s financial integrity, ensuring every resource is managed with transparency to support their vital mission.

 

 

The Role

  • As the custodian of financial operations, you will manage everything from daily disbursements and treasury to donor grant reporting and statutory compliance.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations, bank reconciliations, and the maintenance of a meticulous General Ledger.
  • Collaborate on annual budgets, variance analysis, and financial forecasting.
  • Ensure adherence to Nigerian tax laws and IFRS, serving as the primary liaison for audits.
  • Track grant utilization and prepare specialized reports for international and local donors.
  • Act as the primary liaison for internal and external auditors, ensuring the timely provision of data and implementation of audit recommendations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
  • Mandatory ICAN or ACCA qualification.
  • 4+ years of post-qualification experience (NGO experience is a significant advantage).
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software (Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero).
  • Deep knowledge of IFRS and non-profit accounting principles.
  • High level of ethical judgment, analytical precision, and the ability to
  • Ability to communicates complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
