Job Description:
As a Warehouse Officer, you will assist in managing inventory, coordinating supplies to customers and other outlets, coordinates daily warehousing activities and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. Your role involves performing a range of duties to support warehouse operations and ensure timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, managing inventory, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Ensuring accurate inventory levels.
- Controlling inventory levels.
- Updating inventory lists.
- Performing regular physical inventories.
- Assisting with inventory control.
Receiving and Dispatching:
- Receiving and dispatching goods.
- Verifying movements of stock.
- Ensuring the accuracy of shipments and inventory transactions
- Inspect and check incoming goods for damage, discrepancies, or defects, reporting any issues to the warehouse manager and coordinating with vendors or suppliers for resolution.
- Perform physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock checks to ensure accuracy of inventory records and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and system data.
Documentation:
- Ensuring the accuracy and relevance of all documentation relating to goods received and dispatched.
- Reviewing Delivery Notes (e.g., Waybills), Goods Received Notes, and Loss Reports.
Warehouse Operations:
- Ensuring efficient and effective use of warehouse space.
- Organizing and maintaining inventory and storage areas.
- Supervising cleaning, maintenance, and repair of the warehouse.
- Ensuring accurate and neat stacking of commodities.
Other Duties:
- Checking purchase orders against stock levels.
- Preparing delivery schedules.
- Coordinating maintenance and repairs of the storage facility.
- Entering data into a database.
- Liaising with the Warehouse Manager and transporters to ensure smooth dispatch of commodities.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and company policies governing warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- 4-7years Experience
- Previous experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or logistics support roles is preferred.
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles, warehouse procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Physical stamina and strength to stand or walk for extended periods, and perform manual tasks in a warehouse environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in performing inventory counts, data entry, and recordkeeping tasks.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software, barcode scanners, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team, following instructions and collaborating with coworkers to achieve common goals.
