We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Description:
- The Trader & Dealer is responsible for executing financial market transactions, monitoring market conditions, managing trading positions, and ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory guidelines.
- The role involves buying and selling financial instruments, providing market intelligence, managing liquidity, and supporting treasury and investment operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute buy and sell orders across FX, money markets, fixed income, and other approved instruments.
- Monitor financial markets, economic indicators, and trading positions to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Provide real-time market updates, rate quotations, and pricing to internal teams or clients.
- Ensure all trades comply with established limits, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date trade logs, order books, and transaction records.
- Conduct market analysis to support investment decisions and trading strategies.
- Collaborate with treasury, finance, and risk teams to manage liquidity and optimize returns.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly trading and dealing reports.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with counterparties, brokers, and financial institutions.
- Support automation and process improvements for trading systems and tools.
Requirements:
- BSc/HND in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in trading or dealing roles within financial markets or treasury operations.
- Strong knowledge of FX, money markets, bonds, and other financial instruments.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency with trading platforms, market data tools, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills
