Job Description:

Pullus is seeking a strategic and operationally rigorous Supply Chain Manager to orchestrate the seamless flow of agricultural inputs and livestock products across our extensive network. This role is the backbone of our scalability, responsible for synchronizing complex production cycles with real-time market demand. You will lead a high-performing team to ensure that our logistics, inventory, and distribution systems are not just efficient, but reliable and cost-effective.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader with deep expertise in agricultural value chains and cold chain logistics, capable of leveraging technology to minimize wastage and maximize distribution reach.

Requirements:

Logistics & Distribution Excellence

• Operational Oversight: Supervise Logistics Officers to ensure precision in farm pickups, processing schedules, and final customer deliveries.

• Provider Management: Negotiate and manage strategic relationships with third-party transport providers to ensure reliability.

• Cost Optimization: Rigorously monitor "cost per kg" for distribution and implement route optimization strategies to protect margins.

Inventory & Stock Control

• Accuracy & Reconciliation: Lead Inventory Officers in maintaining 100% accurate stock records, reconciling farm collections with processing outputs and customer dispatches.

• Real-Time Tracking: Ensure digital systems and ERPs track stock availability in real-time to prevent stockouts or oversupply.

Supply-Demand Synchronization

• Sales Alignment: Collaborate closely with the Sales department to ensure customer orders are fulfilled from available stock without delay.

• Input Flow: Coordinate with Extension and Procurement teams to ensure farmers receive necessary inputs (feed, medication, etc.) exactly when needed to maintain production cycles.

Technology, Risk & Compliance

• Data-Driven Leadership: Utilize ERP systems and digital dashboards to track KPIs and provide high-level performance reports to management.

• Mitigation: Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including logistics breakdowns, shortages, or delivery delays.

• Safety Standards: Ensure all transportation and storage handovers comply with safety, health, and agricultural regulatory standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: * Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • An Master’s or MBA is considered a significant advantage.

• Experience: * 7–10 years of progressive experience in supply chain leadership.

  • Direct experience in Agribusiness or the FMCG sector is highly preferred.

• Technical Expertise: * Proven mastery of Cold Chain Management and distribution within agricultural value chains.

  • Advanced expertise in ERP and digital inventory systems.

  • Strong understanding of financial models that support supply chain operations.
