We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Description:

  • The Production Manager will oversee all daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensure policies and procedures are followed. He will develop processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality and productivity.
  • The Production manager oversee employees, production and efficiency, to make sure the plant is running smoothly, quickly, efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations
  • Decide how best to use plant’s workers and equipment to meet production goals 
  • Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time delivery
  • Ensure that production stays on schedule and within budget 
  • Assist in the recruitment of technical staff, train, and evaluate workers 
  • Analyse production data and produce daily, weekly and monthly reports to the COO
  • Monitor plant’s workers to ensure they meet performance target and safety requirements 
  • Create ways to make the production process lean and more efficient 
  • Determine whether new machines are needed or whether overtime work is necessary 
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and fix production challenges during production process
  • Direct and manage plant operations for production, maintenance, quality and inventory
  • Coordinate plant activities through the planning with departmental managers to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Develop and control profits, plans, and budget. 
  • Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages and salaries. 
  • Manages capital asset maintenance. 
  • Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards. 
  • Control and minimize labor overtime, premium freight and repair expenses. 
  • Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace, or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary. 
  • Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives. 
  • Implements and maintains preventive maintenance programs
  • Incorporates shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel. 
  • Provides direction, development and leadership to production supervisor. 
  • Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
  • Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts
  • Any other function as may be assigned by the COO.

Salary

N200,000 - N300,000 / month
