We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Description:
- The Marketing Officer will be responsible for driving product visibility, sales growth, and customer engagement for the company’s spice products.
- She will design and implement sales strategies, identify market opportunities, build strong customer relationships, and promote brand awareness across retail, wholesale, and distribution channels.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development:
- Promote and sell spice products to wholesalers, retailers, supermarkets, food processors, restaurants, hotels, and end users.
- Identify new markets, distributors, and partnership opportunities for business expansion.
- Carry out market research to understand customer preferences, industry trends, and competitor positioning.
- Execute field sales visits, product presentations, and demonstrations.
Marketing & Brand Promotion:
- Develop marketing campaigns to increase product awareness and drive sales.
- Represent the brand at trade fairs, market activations, promotions, industry events, and exhibitions.
- Create marketing content for physical and digital platforms (flyers, social media, newsletters, etc.).
- Gather customer feedback for product improvement.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers and business partners.
- Provide after-sales support and ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Maintain an updated customer database and sales pipeline reports.
Reporting & Administrative Duties:
- Achieve weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales targets.
- Prepare reports on sales performance, market feedback, and business opportunities.
- Work closely with production and logistics teams for timely deliveries.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Agriculture, Food Science, or related field.
- 1–5 years experience in agro-processing, FMCG, food and beverage, or spices market (preferred).
- Proven field sales experience and strong negotiation skills.
- Fluency in English and local languages is an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong understanding of consumer behavior and market dynamics.
- Ability to identify new business channels and close sales successfully.
- Persistence, confidence, and high emotional intelligence.
- Ability to work independently and meet targets.
- Good knowledge of digital marketing is an added advantage.
