Job Description:
- The Managing Director (MD) will provide strategic leadership and oversee the overall operations, profitability, and growth of the Construction Company.
- The role involves driving business development, securing high-value construction contracts, managing stakeholder relationships, ensuring successful project delivery, and achieving the Company's financial and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the Company.
- Drive revenue growth and profitability.
- Source and secure high-end clients, major construction projects, and strategic business opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, corporate organizations, developers, investors, and key stakeholders.
- Lead contract negotiations and business development initiatives.
- Oversee project execution to ensure timely delivery, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Manage budgets, financial performance, and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and industry requirements.
- Lead, motivate, and develop employees to achieve organizational goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, Construction Management, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.
- Possession of a recognized and relevant professional certification from a nationally accredited professional body is mandatory - COREN, NIQS, NIA, NIOB, or NSE.
Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in the construction industry.
- At least 5 years in a senior management or executive leadership role.
- Proven track record of securing and managing high-value construction contracts.
