About Company:
Alaro City Development FZC is an integrated, mixed-use city planned for over 2,000 hectares in the North West Quadrant of the Lekki Free Zone. Alaro City’s vision goes beyond alleviating what is a self-evident problem - that of stifling urban congestion and a dearth of quality housing and commercial property in Lagos and Africa as a whole.
Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned, authoritative, and results-oriented Construction Supervisor to serve as our primary field representative for project execution. This is a high-level operational role for an individual who commands respect on-site, possesses deep technical knowledge, and has a proven track record of delivering large-scale infrastructure, commercial, or industrial projects. You will be the vital link between our engineering designs and the physical reality of construction, ensuring that every project is delivered safely, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Requirements:
Onsite Leadership: Direct all construction activities across multiple disciplines (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical). Ensure that work is executed strictly according to approved drawings, technical specifications, and project schedules.
Contractor & Subcontractor Oversight: Monitor performance, productivity, and workmanship. Manage the day-to-day operations of various site teams, ensuring total compliance with project requirements.
Safety & Compliance Guardian: Enforce the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE). Lead safety walk-throughs, toolbox talks, and maintain a proactive safety culture. Ensure all work permits, method statements, and risk assessments are strictly reviewed and followed.
Quality Assurance (QA/QC): Verify the quality of materials and workmanship. Ensure all works meet ISO and company-specific quality benchmarks.
Planning & Problem Solving: Proactively identify field challenges and provide immediate, practical solutions to prevent delays. Monitor milestones and drive the project schedule to ensure timely completion.
Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the central point of contact for project engineers, consultants, and architects. Provide detailed daily reports on construction progress, incidents, and corrective actions.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc./B.Eng.) in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Technology, or a related discipline. Extensive, proven hands-on experience in Tier-1 construction environments may be considered in lieu of specific degree requirements.
Experience: 10–15 years of total construction experience, with at least 7 years in a senior supervisory role on large-scale infrastructure, industrial, Oil & Gas, or high-rise real estate projects.
