Job Description:

We are seeking a highly meticulous and analytical Inventory Control Officer to manage and optimize our stock management processes in Lagos. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our inventory records, ensuring absolute accuracy between physical stock and digital databases. If you have a sharp eye for detail, a strong understanding of supply chain logistics, and a proactive approach to minimizing discrepancies and shrinkage, we want you on our team.

Requirements:

• Stock Monitoring & Tracking: Maintain accurate and real-time records of all incoming and outgoing stock, ensuring the inventory management system is constantly updated.

• Auditing & Reconciliation: Coordinate and lead routine cycle counts, spot-checks, and comprehensive physical inventory audits; reconcile any variances between physical counts and system records.

• Discrepancy Investigation: Proactively investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes (such as damages, theft, or data entry errors), and implement corrective actions.

• Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate closely with the Procurement, Warehousing, and Logistics teams to monitor delivery schedules, inspect incoming shipments for quality and quantity, and manage stock levels to prevent stock-outs or over-stocking.

• Reporting & Analytics: Generate detailed weekly and monthly inventory reports, highlighting turnover rates, slow-moving items, and shrinkage metrics for management review.

• Storage Optimization: Ensure that stock is organized systematically within the warehouse or storage facility to optimize space utilization, safety, and ease of retrieval.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related discipline.

• Experience: 2–3 years of proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or stock bookkeeping.

• Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data sorting, formulas, and formatting).

  • Hands-on experience with Inventory Management Software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Sage, QuickBooks, Odoo, or similar).
