Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inbound Inventory Executive to manage the critical "first touch" of our supply chain in Abuja. In this role, you will be responsible for the seamless receipt, verification, and documentation of all incoming stock. You will ensure that every item entering the warehouse is accounted for, quality-checked, and accurately logged into our digital systems, preventing discrepancies before they can impact our operations.
The ideal candidate is a warehouse professional who understands that inventory accuracy starts the moment a delivery vehicle arrives at the dock.
Requirements:
Receiving & Verification
Offloading Oversight: Supervise the offloading of goods from suppliers and transit vehicles, ensuring items are handled with care to prevent damage.
Physical Reconciliation: Conduct thorough physical counts of incoming stock against Waybills, Purchase Orders (POs), and Packing Slives to identify shortages or overages immediately.
Quality Control: Inspect incoming materials for damage, expiration dates (where applicable), and adherence to quality specifications, initiating the "Return to Vendor" process for sub-standard goods.
Documentation & Systems Management
Data Entry: Accurately update the Warehouse Management System (WMS) or ERP with real-time data regarding received quantities and batch details.
Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous digital and physical files of all inbound documentation, ensuring a clear audit trail for every delivery.
GRN Generation: Process Goods Received Notes (GRN) promptly to trigger supplier payments and update available-to-sell inventory levels.
Warehouse Coordination
Put-away Strategy: Coordinate with the floor team to ensure that received items are moved from the receiving bay to their correct storage locations (bins/pallets) efficiently.
Discrepancy Reporting: Promptly report any significant variances or recurring supplier issues to the Procurement and Warehouse Managers.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure the receiving area remains organized, clean, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience:
2–4 years of direct experience in warehouse inbound operations or inventory receiving.
Proven track record of managing high-volume receiving in a structured environment.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in using WMS or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Odoo, or specialized logistics software).
Strong competence in Microsoft Excel for data logging and reconciliation.
Core Competencies:
Extreme Attention to Detail: Ability to spot small discrepancies in large shipments.
Documentation Accuracy: High standards for data integrity and paperwork completion.
Physical Stamina: Comfort working in a warehouse environment which may involve standing for long periods and supervising offloading.
Location: Must be currently residing in or willing to relocate to Abuja.
