Job Description:
We are seeking a results-oriented Hotel Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our facility in Ilupeju. In this role, you will be the heartbeat of the property, responsible for ensuring that every guest experience is seamless, every room is pristine, and every staff member is motivated.
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a "hands-on" approach to management. You will be responsible for everything from financial reporting and staff scheduling to facility maintenance and guest relations. Requirements:
1. Operational Excellence & Facility Oversight
Daily Workflow: Oversee all departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, and Maintenance, ensuring they function in perfect harmony.
Standards Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to company policies, health and safety regulations, and local hospitality standards.
Maintenance Stewardship: Conduct regular property walkthroughs to ensure the facility is safe, clean, and well-maintained; coordinate repairs with minimal disruption to guests.
2. Guest Experience & Relationship Management
Service Recovery: Act as the final point of escalation for guest complaints, resolving issues with professional grace to maintain the brand's reputation.
Feedback Integration: Monitor guest reviews (OTAs, Google) and feedback forms to implement continuous service improvements.
Occupancy Growth: Support marketing initiatives and coordinate with Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) to maximize room occupancy and guest retention.
3. Human Capital & Financial Governance
Leadership & Training: Supervise and mentor the team, fostering a culture of accountability and high-quality service.
Staffing Logistics: Manage attendance, performance evaluations, and prepare efficient work schedules that align with occupancy peaks.
Revenue Control: Monitor daily revenue, manage budgets, and ensure accurate reporting of cash handling and invoices to protect the bottom line.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Experience: Minimum of 2+ years in a supervisory or management role within the hotel or hospitality industry.
Technical IQ: Proficiency in Hotel Management Software (PMS) and MS Office (Excel/Word).
Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, to meet the demands of a 24/7 business.
Core Competencies
Financial Literacy: Ability to monitor expenses, daily revenue, and assist in setting pricing strategies.
Problem-Solving: Decisive action-taking under pressure, especially regarding facility emergencies or guest disputes.
Leadership: A collaborative mindset with the ability to lead by example.
