St. Dominic Catholic Hospital is a 64-bed hospital located in Ogungbade off New Ife road in Ibadan. St. Dominic Catholic Hospital is the vision of the Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine of Siena (Italy). We offer various medical services such as: General medicine, internal medicine, O & G, Laboratory, and Radiology, to mention just a few. The hospital is run in collaboration with foreign partners. Job Description:
- The Hospital Front Desk Officer is the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and healthcare providers.
- This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing patient registration, scheduling appointments, and ensuring seamless communication between patients, families, and hospital staff.
Requirements:
- Greet patients, visitors, and healthcare providers in a professional and friendly manner.
- Register patients, verify insurance information, and obtain necessary consent.
- Ensure accurate and complete patient demographic information.
Scheduling Appointments:
- Schedule appointments for patients, ensuring timely and efficient scheduling.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers and other departments to ensure availability.
Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and concerns.
- Resolve patient complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
Communication:
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, healthcare providers, and hospital staff.
- Ensure seamless communication between departments and teams.
Data Entry and Record-Keeping:
- Accurately enter patient information into hospital systems.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Security and Emergency Procedures:
- Follow hospital security protocols and emergency procedures.
- Report any security concerns or incidents to management.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 1 - 3 years of experience in customer service, healthcare, or a related field.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of hospital software systems.
Work Environment:
- Front office setting with frequent interaction with patients, visitors, and healthcare providers.
- May require working evenings, weekends, or holidays.
