Job Description:
Support the planning, coordination, and implementation of health and nutrition activities within the project locations.
Conduct community sensitization and awareness campaigns on maternal and child health, nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention.
Provide technical guidance on Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF), micronutrient supplementation, malnutrition screening, and referrals.
Strengthen linkages and referrals between communities, health facilities, and nutrition services.
Collaborate with health workers and community volunteers to improve access to quality health and nutrition services.
Monitor nutrition interventions such as growth monitoring, therapeutic feeding, and community-based management of malnutrition (CMAM).
Conduct regular field visits to ensure the quality implementation of activities.
Support training and capacity building of community health workers, volunteers, and local partners.
Collect, analyze, and report health and nutrition data, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Document lessons learned, success stories, and best practices to improve program quality.
Ensure adherence to LHI’s safeguarding, protection, and accountability policies in all program activities.
Represent LHI in health and nutrition sector coordination meetings and clusters at the LG or state level.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Nursing, Nutrition, Community Health, or related field.
Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in health and nutrition program implementation (NGO/INGO experience strongly preferred).
Solid knowledge of maternal and child health, nutrition programming, and community health approaches.
Experience with CMAM, IYCF, and nutrition-sensitive interventions is an added advantage.
Strong facilitation, training, and community mobilization skills.
Proficiency in health and nutrition data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Good organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is highly desirable.
Willingness to travel frequently to field sites.
