Job Description:
Aina Blankson is seeking a chartered and analytical Finance and Accounts Associate to join our elite team. This is a high-responsibility role that extends beyond standard bookkeeping; you will be the custodian of the consolidated financial records for Aina Blankson and its diverse affiliate firms.
The ideal candidate is an ICAN-certified professional who thrives in a complex, multi-entity environment. You will be tasked with harmonizing financial data across various business units, ensuring that every transaction—from local tax compliance to global financial modeling—is handled with clinical precision and strategic foresight.
Requirements:
1. Consolidated Financial Stewardship
Entity Management: Manage and maintain accurate ledgers for Aina Blankson and its affiliate firms, ensuring seamless consolidation of group accounts.
Transaction Lifecycle: Oversee the end-to-end processing of invoices and payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all business units.
Closing Operations: Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities, providing a transparent view of the group's financial health.
2. Analytical Rigor & Reporting
Financial Modeling: Utilize advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas) to build financial models and budgets that support executive decision-making.
Cash Flow Governance: Conduct rigorous bank reconciliations and monitor accounts payable/receivable to optimize the firm's liquidity and working capital.
Management Insight: Prepare detailed financial statements and performance reports that identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and operational variances.
3. Compliance, Audit & Tax
Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all entities remain in full compliance with Nigerian tax laws (VAT, WHT, CIT) and international accounting standards (IFRS).
Audit Leadership: Act as the primary technical point of contact for internal and external auditors, providing comprehensive documentation and resolving complex inquiries.
Process Engineering: Proactively identify and implement improvements to financial software workflows (QuickBooks, SAP) to enhance accuracy and speed.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Certification: ICAN Certification is mandatory.
Experience: 3–5 years of relevant experience. Specific experience in consolidated accounting or working with law firms/professional services is a plus.
Technical Stack
Software: Proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, or similar ERP platforms.
Excel Mastery: Expert-level skills in data manipulation and financial modeling.
