Job Description:

We are seeking a high-caliber Director of Finance to join the Board of Directors of a fast-growing passenger transport and courier logistics firm. This is a strategic leadership mandate for a finance executive who views numbers as a narrative for growth rather than just a report of the past.

You will be the primary architect of our financial future, responsible for strengthening internal controls while simultaneously building the external relationships necessary to secure capital injections and strategic investment. If you are a commercially-astute leader with a deep background in Corporate Finance, Investment Relations, or Banking, and you have the grit to manage an asset-heavy operation, we want you on our Board.

Requirements:

1. Capital Engineering & Investor Relations

• Fundraising & Liquidity: Identify and secure diverse financing opportunities, including debt, equity, and strategic capital injections to fuel fleet expansion.

• Banking Ecosystem: Build and leverage a high-level network within financial institutions to optimize credit lines and interest rate exposures.

• Investment Readiness: Prepare the organization for potential institutional investment, ensuring all financial structures meet international due diligence standards.

2. Operational Excellence & Asset Management

• Unit Economics: Analyze the "per-kilometer" profitability of the fleet to drive data-driven decisions on route expansion and courier pricing.

• Cash Flow Stewardship: Take absolute control of daily cash flow, ensuring that the high-velocity nature of transport revenue is translated into sustainable working capital.

• System Transformation: Strengthen financial accountability by implementing robust ERP systems and internal control frameworks across multiple depots and hubs.

3. Board-Level Strategy & Governance

• Strategic Roadmap: Partner with the CEO and the Board to develop long-term financial plans that support aggressive regional growth.

• Compliance & Risk: Ensure the organization remains ahead of regulatory requirements and industry-specific financial standards.

• Performance Reporting: Move beyond basic P&L to provide the Board with predictive forecasting and "what-if" scenario modeling.

Qualifications and Skills:

Executive Profile

• Education & Certification: Professional finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CFA) is highly preferred.

• Seniority: Proven track record as a Finance Director, CFO, or Executive Director in a high-growth environment.

• Sector Mastery: Experience in Transport, Logistics, Infrastructure, or other Asset-Heavy industries is a significant competitive advantage.

• Capital Raising: Demonstrated success in raising capital, securing large-scale funding, or managing successful exit/investment rounds.

Core Competencies

• Commercial Mindset: Ability to drive business performance through rigorous numbers-led analysis.

• Boardroom Gravitas: Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and lead at the highest organizational level.

• Financial Market Connectivity: Must be well-connected within the banking and investment sectors.
