Job Description:
We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Maintenance Coordinator to lead electrical maintenance activities within our plant. Your primary goal is to ensure the milling and packaging lines run at optimum capacity with minimal downtime. You will be responsible for coordinating the maintenance team, executing precise electrical repairs, and ensuring all machinery meets safety and operational standards. If you are a problem-solver with a strong background in industrial panels and automated machinery, we want you on our team.
Requirements:
1. Maintenance Coordination & Response
Workflow Management: Monitor daily logbooks to track completed and pending repairs; ensure all outstanding issues are resolved promptly.
Team Allocation: Assign maintenance tasks to the team to ensure rapid response to requests from production and user departments.
Downtime Mitigation: Attend to all reported faults immediately to find technical solutions and reduce production interruptions.
2. Technical Execution & Machine Health
Electrical Infrastructure: Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, industrial panels, and machinery components used in milling and packaging operations.
Preventive Maintenance: Execute Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules within the allotted time frames to extend equipment lifespan.
Inspections: Conduct routine machine inspections and update technical reports to track the "health" of plant equipment.
3. Safety, Standards & Compliance
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all electrical installations and repairs meet statutory electrical codes and industrial standards.
Health & Safety: Strictly observe and comply with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) procedures to maintain a zero-incident environment.
Hygiene & Housekeeping: Lead housekeeping functions to ensure the maintenance area and plant floor remain clean and hygienic, in line with food safety standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Experience
Qualification: OND in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic preferred) or a related science discipline.
Experience: Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar industrial maintenance role, ideally within a manufacturing or milling environment.
Core Competencies
Technical Mastery: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, industrial controls, and automated machinery.
Analytical Thinking: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex electrical faults under pressure.
Communication: Good interpersonal skills and the ability to write clear, accurate maintenance reports.
Record Keeping: Highly organized with the ability to maintain meticulous maintenance logs for reference and audits.
