Job Description:
Are you a strategic leader in the digital retail space? We are seeking a Deputy General Manager (DGM) – E-Commerce to spearhead the growth and operational excellence of our e-commerce logistics division. This pivotal role focuses on scaling last-mile delivery solutions, optimizing fulfillment processes, and building high-value partnerships with online merchants and digital marketplaces.
As the DGM, you will bridge the gap between business development and supply chain operations, ensuring our logistics infrastructure meets the demands of the modern digital economy.
Requirements:
E-Commerce Strategy & Growth
Develop and execute data-driven strategies to expand e-commerce logistics services.
Analyze market trends in digital retail and third-party logistics (3PL) to identify revenue opportunities.
Drive initiatives to increase parcel volume and market share within the e-commerce ecosystem.
Merchant Acquisition & Strategic Partnerships
Lead the acquisition and onboarding of e-commerce merchants, corporate clients, and global marketplaces.
Negotiate high-level service level agreements (SLAs) and commercial terms with key partners.
Foster long-term relationships with stakeholders in the digital business sector.
Operational Excellence & Last-Mile Delivery
Oversee logistics operations to ensure seamless fulfillment, sorting, and efficient last-mile delivery.
Improve parcel handling processes and reduce delivery timelines to enhance service standards.
Coordinate with warehouse and hub management teams to optimize inventory movement.
Technology & Platform Integration
Collaborate with IT teams to enhance shipment tracking, order management systems (OMS), and merchant portals.
Oversee API integrations between company logistics tools and e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, Amazon).
Performance & Team Leadership
Provide mentorship and direction to the e-commerce sales and operations support teams.
Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including shipment volumes, revenue growth, and operational efficiency.
Report strategic insights and performance metrics to executive leadership.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or Marketing. An MBA or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CLTD) is highly preferred.
Experience: 8–10 years of proven experience in e-commerce logistics, supply chain, or business development.
Leadership: Minimum of 3–5 years in a senior management or leadership role.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of logistics software, API integrations, and data analytics.
Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation, strategic planning, and relationship management abilities.
