Job Description:

We are seeking a high-integrity Client Relations & Debt Recovery Specialist to manage the heartbeat of our business: our client portfolio. In the affordable housing and investment sector, success is built on trust and financial consistency. You will be the primary strategist responsible for ensuring our clients remain satisfied while maintaining the healthy cash flow necessary for our nationwide projects.

This is a "high-touch" role requiring a unique blend of empathy and firmness. You will act as a bridge between our customers and our internal teams (Sales, Engineering, and Finance), ensuring that project milestones align with payment schedules. Qualifications and Skills:

1. Strategic Debt Recovery & Account Reconciliation

  • Arrears Management: Maintain real-time, accurate records of clients with outstanding balances to drive targeted recovery efforts.

  • Repayment Negotiation: Proactively engage with clients to negotiate flexible yet firm repayment plans, ensuring "Satisfactory Closure" for both parties.

  • Account Integrity: Collaborate with Finance and internal units on complex account reconciliations to ensure billing accuracy before initiating recovery.

2. Relationship Architecture & Retention

  • Key Account Management: Build and nurture long-term relationships with investors and homeowners, ensuring they remain satisfied throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Proactive Engagement: Schedule regular follow-ups and onsite visits to capture customer feedback, driving continuous improvement in our housing delivery.

  • Crisis Resolution: Act as the ultimate point of contact for complaints, taking full ownership of issues from the moment they arise until they are fully resolved.

3. Sales Synergy & Cross-Functional Liaison

  • Portfolio Growth: Assist the Sales Team in identifying opportunities to up-sell or cross-sell new investment opportunities to existing, high-performing clients.

  • Inter-Departmental Bridge: Liaise with site engineers and senior management to address technical concerns that may be hindering a client’s willingness to complete payments.

  • Reporting: Draft and send periodic update notices to the portfolio, ensuring a professional and consistent brand voice across all touchpoints.


Requirements & Qualifications

Professional Profile

  • Experience: Proven background in Customer Service or Account Management; deep Real Estate industry knowledge is essential.

  • Negotiation Grit: Advanced skills in analytical thinking and research to structure win-win financial settlements.

  • Technical Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with CRM/Property Management software.

Behavioral & Personal Qualities

  • Resilience: Ability to maintain a positive, customer-oriented attitude while working under pressure to meet recovery deadlines.

  • Maturity: This role is strictly suited for candidates between 30 – 45 years of age.

  • Geography: Candidates must live in close proximity to Obalende, Lekki, or Victoria Island, Lagos.
