Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and technically proficient Civil Engineer to join our team in Jabi, Abuja. This role is a unique hybrid of engineering expertise and administrative rigour, designed for a professional who can transition seamlessly from designing structural plans in CAD to managing site logistics and government liaison. You will be the vital link between our head office and active construction sites, ensuring projects are delivered to specification, on budget, and in full compliance with local regulatory codes. Requirements:

• Engineering & Design: Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D to analyze survey reports and geological data, creating robust structural designs that meet all national construction codes.

• Project Oversight & Budgeting: Manage cost estimates, track expenditures for labour and materials, and monitor timelines to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

• Administrative Backbone: Oversee project documentation, including contracts, permits, progress reports, and site material logs. Ensure meticulous record-keeping for every stage of the project lifecycle.

• Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary point of communication between the head office, construction sites, suppliers, contractors, and clients. Liaise with government agencies to manage permit applications and regulatory requirements.

• Quality Control & Troubleshooting: Conduct site inspections to ensure build quality. Proactively identify design discrepancies and troubleshoot on-site challenges to keep construction moving forward.

• Logistical Management: Maintain inventory records for office and site materials, managing logistics and supply chain documentation as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.

• Technical Proficiency: Mastery of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and the Microsoft Office Suite.

• Experience: Proven experience in an engineering role with a heavy emphasis on administrative tasks, preferably within the construction industry.
