Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Field Civil Engineer to serve as our lead onsite representative. In this high-stakes role, you will be the operational backbone of our construction projects, ensuring that complex engineering designs are translated into reality with uncompromising quality, safety, and efficiency. You will be responsible for orchestrating contractors, resolving field-level technical challenges, and maintaining strict adherence to project timelines and budgets. If you are a seasoned construction veteran with a track record of delivering high-quality, large-scale projects, we want you to lead our onsite execution.
Requirements:
Site Supervision & Coordination: Manage the daily pulse of the construction site. Direct contractors, subcontractors, and field teams to ensure seamless execution and synchronization of activities.
Technical Rigor & Quality Control: Conduct daily inspections to verify quality. Review engineering drawings, BOQs, and technical documents before implementation, resolving technical issues on the fly to prevent project delays.
Progress Tracking & Reporting: Act as the key eyes-and-ears for the project. Prepare detailed daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and produce 2-to-4-week "lookahead" schedules to ensure milestones are met.
HSE & Compliance: Lead the safety culture onsite. Conduct toolbox talks, enforce permit-to-work systems, perform safety inspections, and ensure all works adhere strictly to health, safety, and environment (HSE) standards.
Resource & Cost Control: Monitor material usage, mitigate wastage, and support onsite cost control measures. Ensure every component utilized meets approved technical specifications.
Surveying & Alignment: Proficiently utilize surveying instruments to ensure precise setting out, measurements, and structural alignment.
Documentation & Close-out: Maintain meticulous site records (diaries, instructions, inspections). Spearhead testing, commissioning, and snag/punch list activities for final project handover.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Technology, or a related field. Candidates with extensive hands-on experience from Tier 1 construction firms are highly encouraged to apply.
Experience: 7–10 years of total construction supervision experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity on large-scale infrastructure, high-rise, industrial, or oil & gas projects.
