  • Cash Flow Integrity: Perform rigorous bank reconciliations to ensure the internal ledgers perfectly mirror actual bank positions.

  • Revenue Tracking: Prepare and issue professional invoices, track payment milestones, and execute a disciplined follow-up strategy for outstanding balances.

2. Tax Management & Statutory Compliance

  • Tax Architecture: Monitor and apply correct tax entries, specifically ensuring accuracy in PAYE, WHT, and VAT for all transactions and invoices.

  • Compliance Stewardship: Lead the preparation of documentation for statutory remittances, external audits, and regulatory filings to ensure the company remains in good standing.

  • Internal Control: Maintain a document repository that meets the highest standards of audit readiness and transparency.

3. Reporting & Strategic Support

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare essential financial statements, including Profit and Loss (P&L) statements, balance sheets, and detailed customer balance reports.

  • Budgetary Analysis: Support the management team with forecasting and budgeting by providing high-quality, data-driven financial insights.

  • Process Excellence: Utilize accounting software (Zoho) and Excel to automate routine reporting and improve the speed of financial decision-making.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Certification: Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA) is a significant added advantage.

  • Experience: Proven experience in financial reporting and taxation. Specialized training in Nigerian tax laws is a plus.

Core Competencies

  • Software Mastery: High proficiency in Zoho Books (or similar ERPs) and advanced Microsoft Excel.

  • Tax IQ: Solid understanding of Nigerian tax computations (VAT, WHT, PAYE) and statutory requirements.

  • Analytical Precision: Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies in complex datasets.

  • Ethics: A high level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional skepticism.
