Job Description:
We are building a structured, well-controlled business and are seeking a proactive Accountant who wants to do more than just "keep the books." In this role, you will be a strategic partner to management, ensuring that every naira generated across our Restaurant, Lounge, Bar, and Events units is accounted for and every cost is optimized. Requirements:
1. Multi-Unit Revenue Assurance
Daily Reconciliation: Manage and reconcile complex daily sales flows across POS terminals, cash, and bank transfers for multiple business units.
Segmented Accounting: Maintain accurate records in Zoho Books (or similar ERP), tracking the specific performance of the Restaurant, Lounge, Pool, and Events sections.
Audit Trail: Ensure that all financial transactions have a clear, documented path from the point of sale to the bank statement.
2. Cost Control & Inventory Management
F&B Costing: Maintain rigorous records of food and beverage costs, identifying variances in consumption versus sales to prevent leakages.
Supplier Governance: Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring all supplier payments are documented and expenses are categorized correctly.
Inventory Oversight: Periodically audit physical inventory against system records to ensure 100% stock integrity.
3. Statutory Compliance & Reporting
Tax Stewardship: Support the timely filing and remittance of VAT, WHT, PAYE, and other Nigerian statutory requirements.
Management Accounts: Prepare monthly management reports that provide "beyond-the-numbers" insights into operational efficiency and business unit profitability.
Internal Controls: Serve as the custodian of internal financial procedures, ensuring that all staff adhere to established spend limits and approval workflows.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Background
Education: HND or B.Sc in Accounting or Finance.
Experience: 2–4 years of core accounting experience. Experience in the Hospitality or Service Industry (Hotels, Restaurants, Clubs) is a significant advantage.
Software: Practical, hands-on knowledge of Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or Xero.
Tax Knowledge: Solid understanding of the current Nigerian tax landscape.
