Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Accountant to lead the Financial Accounting Unit. In this role, you will be the custodian of our General Ledger, ensuring that every transaction is captured with 100% accuracy and in strict compliance with IFRS standards.

Beyond traditional bookkeeping, you will serve as a strategic partner to the operations and logistics teams, monitoring inventory-related financial records and driving cost-control initiatives. If you have 2–3 years of experience and a mastery of statutory returns and bank reconciliations, we want you to join our finance team.

Requirements:

1. Financial Reporting & Compliance

• IFRS Stewardship: Guarantee the integrity of financial reporting by preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with global standards.

• Statutory Excellence: Manage the end-to-end processing of statutory remittances and returns (WHT, VAT, PAYE), ensuring zero penalties for non-compliance.

• Audit Readiness: Maintain impeccable financial documentation to support seamless internal and external audit processes.

2. Treasury & Cash Flow Management

• Liquidity Monitoring: Perform daily bank reconciliations and monitor the company’s cash flow position to ensure operational liquidity.

• Working Capital: Manage accounts payable and receivable cycles, ensuring timely vendor reconciliations and debt recovery.

• Cost Control: Assist in budget preparation and track expenses against projections to identify and mitigate cost leakages.

3. Operational & Inventory Oversight

• Logistics Integration: Support operational coordination by tracking logistics costs and ensuring proper documentation for all movements.

• Inventory Reconciliation: Monitor financial records related to inventory, ensuring physical stock aligns perfectly with the General Ledger.

• Cross-Functional Synergy: Act as a financial liaison for internal departments on administrative and operational matters.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience: 2–3 years of relevant work experience in financial accounting or a similar unit.

• Certification: Professional certification (ACA or ACCA) is a distinct advantage.

• Technical IQ: High proficiency in MS Excel (Advanced formulas, Pivot tables) and modern accounting software (e.g., SAP, Sage, or Odoo).
