We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Description:

  • We seek a highly skilled accountant with at least 3 years of experience.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, and cost management, ensuring accurate financial records and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, reports, and general ledgers.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and industry accounting standards.
  • Monitor cost control, financial performance, and variance analysis.
  • Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and file tax returns, VAT, PAYE, and other statutory obligations.
  • Collaborate with auditors to provide requested information and address any audit findings or recommendations.
  • Monitor financial performance, providing reports to management and making recommendations for cost reductions, profit maximization, and risk management
  • Provide cost analysis and financial insights to management for decision-making.
  • Work closely with procurement, operations, and finance teams to ensure efficient cash flow management.
  • Assist in tender pricing, contract cost evaluation, and financial risk analysis.

Requirements:

  • University Degree / Higher National Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related fields.
  • Certified ICAN
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and financial systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.

Work Experience:

  • 3 years of experience in the accounting field.
  • Experience in chain distribution business
  • Knowledge of financial software
  • Knowledge in oil and gas transaction.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, tax compliance, and cost control in the sector.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Oversee cost control, financial performance tracking, and tax compliance.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and risk management practices.

Salary

N250,000 - N350,000 Monthly
