Job Description:

Bons Industries is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Account Officer to join our team. You will be responsible for the integrity of our financial records, ensuring that every transaction from daily cash positions to complex inventory valuations is captured accurately. This role is perfect for an experienced professional who takes pride in maintaining flawless accounts and is capable of managing multiple responsibilities, including debt recovery and stock reconciliation.

Requirements:

• Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate, up-to-date accounting records and ensure all daily financial transactions are recorded correctly in the accounting system.

• Ledger & Journal Management: Prepare journals, maintain ledgers, and perform account reconciliations to ensure the balance sheet and P&L remain accurate.

• Documentation: Ensure systematic filing of all financial documents and records for audit readiness.

• Debt Recovery: Actively follow up on overdue payments and manage debt recovery processes to maintain a healthy cash flow.

• Customer & Inventory Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile customer accounts and ensure that physical inventory records match the accounting ledger.

• Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor stock movements and valuations, and prepare daily cash position reports for management review.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BSc) or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) are a significant advantage.

• Experience: Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in finance, accounting, or audit roles.
