Nigeria | Posted on 13/03/2026

About Company:

The No Bored Community is an organization relentlessly dedicated to transforming mental health wellness across Nigeria and African societies. We envision a future where mental health is openly discussed, properly supported, and fundamentally valued as a cornerstone of individual well-being and national prosperity.

Job Description:

We are seeking a creative and technically agile Video Editor to anchor our digital storytelling efforts. In an era dominated by short-form and high-impact visual media, success is defined by "Narrative Velocity", the ability to transform raw footage into compelling, high-retention content that resonates across digital platforms. This role is designed for a "Visual Architect" who wants to blend "Advanced Post-Production Skills" with a flexible, remote-first workflow.

Your mission is to ensure "Absolute Brand Consistency and Visual Excellence." You will be a key engine for our content strategy: responsible for refining our visual identity while gaining high-level mentorship from industry leaders. If you possess "Exceptional Creative Grit," a background in video editing software, and the ability to tell a story in a remote, high-efficiency environment, we want you to contribute your talent.

Requirements:

1. Narrative Engineering & Post-Production

  • Dynamic Cutting: Transform raw assets into polished, professional videos that align with modern digital aesthetics.

  • Aural Synergy: Integrate sound design, music, and voiceovers to enhance the emotional and informative impact of every edit.

  • Visual Fidelity: Ensure high-quality color grading, pacing, and motion graphics that meet industry standards.

2. Brand Stewardship & Asset Management

  • Identity Alignment: Maintain 100% consistency in brand voice, fonts, and visual styles across all video outputs.

  • Remote Efficiency: Manage your workflow independently, contributing 1 hour per week to deliver high-impact results without disrupting your existing commitments.

  • Content Optimization: Tailor edits specifically for high-engagement platforms (YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).

3. Professional Growth & Networking

  • Mentorship Access: Engage with seasoned professionals to refine your technical skills and strategic understanding of the media industry.

  • Certification & Validation: Receive a formal Certificate of Completion and a Letter of Recommendation (LOR) to bolster your professional portfolio.

  • Industry Synergy: Network with a diverse group of creatives and professionals to expand your reach within the Nigerian media landscape.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Candidates should possess relevant qualifications (e.g., Degree/Diploma in Mass Communication, Media Arts, or certifications in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve).

  • Technical Savvy: Proficiency in industry-standard editing suites and an understanding of video compression and export formats.

Core Competencies

  • Creative Grit: An eye for pacing, storytelling, and visual composition.

  • Reliability: The ability to manage a 1-hour weekly commitment with 100% punctuality and professional quality.

  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for remote collaboration and receiving creative feedback.
