Job Description:
We are seeking a high-velocity MRO Procurement Officer to drive the technical supply chain for our critical operations. Reporting to the MRO Lead, you will be the engine that transforms Customer Requests into accurate Purchase Orders, managing a high volume of complex transactions where precision and speed are paramount.
Your mission is to ensure "zero-downtime" for our operations by securing high-quality spare parts and services at the most competitive market terms. From navigating SAP workflows and GEP-SMART requisitions to managing international OEM relationships and "Form M" processes, you will own the procurement lifecycle from end-to-end. Requirements:
1. Technical Sourcing & SAP Workflow Management
PR-to-PO Transformation: Process assigned Purchase Requisitions (PRs), verifying technical specifications and market pricing to ensure 100% accuracy before order creation in SAP.
Strategic Agreements: Utilize Frame-Price agreements and IPS strategies to shorten processing times and streamline the acquisition of recurring MRO items.
Tail Spend Governance: Execute commercial work plans aligned with "Tail Spend" principles, ensuring even low-value purchases contribute to the bottom line.
2. Expediting & International Logistics
OEM Liaison: Source and manage relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and foreign vendors for specialized technical categories.
Global Procurement Support: Facilitate international shipments by following up on "Form M" processing, milestone payments, and logistics tracking.
Delivery Assurance: Actively expedite Purchase Orders, maintaining a rigorous execution tracking sheet to ensure materials arrive within agreed lead times.
3. Vendor Performance & Cost Optimization
Supplier Evaluation: Categorize vendors based on technical competence and conduct regular performance reviews, recommending sanctions or rewards as necessary.
Market Intelligence: Constantly monitor global market trends for materials and services to facilitate efficient price reviews and cost-saving initiatives.
Financial Closeout: Ensure the "Three-Way Match" (PO, GRN, and Invoice) is completed accurately to facilitate timely supplier payments.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: B.Sc or HND in Management, Social Sciences, or Engineering.
Certification: CIPS Membership is a mandatory requirement.
Technical Literacy: Advanced proficiency in SAP and Excel (for complex tracking and reporting). Experience with GEP-SMART is highly desirable.
