Job Description:

We are hiring a Social Media Manager to lead how Flutterwave shows up across the digital world. You will own our social voice, serving as the lead architect of our online narrative and community engagement strategy. This role is a blend of creative storytelling and strategic governance—you will translate complex fintech products into simple, engaging content while managing the reputation of a brand that moves money for millions. You will collaborate with Brand, Product, and Growth teams to ensure Flutterwave remains clear, consistent, and culturally relevant across all platforms.

Requirements:

1. Social Strategy & Narrative Architecture

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and execute a multi-platform social strategy that aligns with Flutterwave’s global business priorities.

  • Voice Ownership: Act as the guardian of the Flutterwave "voice," ensuring that our tone is human, credible, and consistent across X, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.

  • Product Education: Simplify the "complex" by creating content that explains fintech solutions in practical, accessible ways for a diverse audience.

2. Content Orchestration & Creative Collaboration

  • Lifecycle Management: Own the social content calendar, managing the end-to-end production pipeline from ideation to publishing.

  • Creative Partnership: Direct designers, videographers, and external creators to produce world-class assets that stand out in a crowded feed.

  • Campaign Execution: Lead social activations for high-stakes product launches and global marketing initiatives.

3. Community, Governance & Reputation

  • Community Building: Foster deep relationships with our online community through thoughtful, proactive engagement.

  • Crisis & Governance: Monitor sentiment and emerging trends; flag potential risks early and respond to misinformation with speed and tact.

  • Influence Management: Vet and manage relationships with creators and influencers to amplify our brand reach while maintaining high standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Experience

  • Tenure: 7–9 years of experience in social media, content, or brand marketing.

  • Context: Proven track record managing social media for consumer-facing brands (experience in Fintech or Tech is highly preferred).

  • Creator Economy: Deep experience working with influencers, digital creators, and creative agencies.

Core Competencies

  • Storytelling Mastery: Ability to interpret digital culture and turn brand narratives into platform-native content.

  • Analytical Prowess: Ability to interpret data, track performance metrics (Reach, Growth, Sentiment), and turn them into actionable insights.

  • Governance: Strong understanding of social media advertising, data privacy, and regulatory requirements.

  • Agility: Comfortable navigating a fast-paced environment where precision and speed are equally vital.
