Job Description:
- As a Senior Associate under the supervision of your Manager, you will deliver end-to-end company secretarial and regulatory compliance support to clients, with responsibility for execution, client interaction, and quality assurance.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Manage company secretarial and regulatory engagements for a portfolio of clients
- Proactively identify regulatory risks to engagement manager, and provide strategic advisory support on regulatory compliance to minimize client liability
Prepare and review:
- Board and shareholder documentation; AGM documents
- Governance and compliance deliverables
Act as point of contact and advise clients on:
- Regulatory requirements and compliance obligations
- Corporate actions and governance processes
- Coordinate and oversee regulatory filings with relevant authorities
- Develop and maintain client compliance calendars and trackers
Support complex engagements such as:
- Liaise directly with clients on day-to-day governance and compliance matters
- Supervise and review work performed by Associates
- Support preparation of proposals, presentations, and client deliverables as part of business development.
- Collaborate on business development initiatives in specific industries targeting practice growth
- Assist Manager in driving business development, including proposal development and research
- Identifying, understanding, and escalating clients’ compliance risk events/issues to Engagement Manager in a timely manner and focusing on fixing the root causes of the issues.
Requirements:
- LL.B and B.L (with a minimum of 2nd Class/Upper Division)
- Minimum of 5 years relevant regulatory compliance experience or equivalent expertise
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with an ability to communicate effectively
- Proven track record of handling regulatory compliance and governance issues
