Job Description:
- We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Finance Officer to lead and oversee our finance and accounting operations.
- The ideal candidate is a Chartered Accountant with at least 4 years of experience, preferably within a professional services or consulting environment.
- The role requires a dynamic individual with strong financial acumen, leadership capabilities, and the ability to contribute to business decision-making and growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and present accurate financial statements in compliance with applicable standards (IFRS).
- Develop financial strategies and provide insights to support business objectives.
- Manage relationships with banks, tax authorities, auditors, and other financial stakeholders.
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with tax, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- payroll computation, statutory payment management (i.e pension, paye, nsitf , itf, etc)
- Support senior management with data-driven financial analysis and performance metrics.
- Supervise and mentor finance staff, ensuring continuous development and performance improvement.
- Drive cost efficiency initiatives and identify opportunities for financial optimization.
Requirements:
- B.Sc / HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Qualification: ICAN Certified
- Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)mandatory.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience.
- Experience in a consulting, professional services, or similar fast-paced environment is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, IFRS, and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary
