The M & W Nuts Company is a cashew processing agri-business venture established in 2016 to add value to Nigeria’s raw cashew export aiming to serve both the domestic and export markets.

Job Description:

We are seeking a high-energy, target-driven Sales Executive to lead our market expansion in Port Harcourt. In this role, you will be the primary driver of revenue growth, responsible for navigating the local retail landscape, onboarding distributors, and ensuring our products are the first choice for consumers in both open markets and Modern Trade outlets.

The ideal candidate has 3–6 years of sales experience, with at least 2 years specifically in FMCG. You understand the unique dynamics of the Rivers State market and possess the negotiation skills required to manage high-value key accounts. If you are a disciplined closer with a proven track record of exceeding quotas and a passion for territory management, we want you on our team.

Requirements:

1. Market Penetration & Distributor Management

  • Network Expansion: Identify and onboard new distributors to penetrate underserved markets across Port Harcourt and its environs.

  • Product Availability: Execute rigorous store visits to ensure 100% product availability and optimal stock levels in retail outlets.

  • Territory Strategy: Manage a designated sales territory, optimizing resources and travel routes to maximize market coverage and "Share of Shelf."

2. Retail Execution & Merchandising

  • Brand Visibility: Ensure premium product placement and secondary displays (merchandising) to drive impulse purchases.

  • Competitive Intelligence: Monitor competitor pricing, promotional activities, and new product launches, providing real-time feedback to management.

  • Promotional Campaigns: Lead the execution of field-level promotional activities and marketing campaigns to stimulate consumer demand.

3. Key Account Management & Performance Tracking

  • Relationship Architecture: Build and sustain strong partnerships with store managers and key account stakeholders, providing exceptional after-sales support.

  • Data-Driven Sales: Prepare detailed daily and weekly sales reports, utilizing CRM software to analyze performance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Complaint Resolution: Serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries and complaints, resolving issues promptly to maintain brand reputation.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (OND/HND/Master's also considered based on experience).

  • Experience: 3–6 years in sales, with a mandatory 2 years in FMCG and Modern Trade (Supermarkets/Chain stores).

  • Local Knowledge: Deep familiarity with the Port Harcourt business environment and retail hubs.

Core Competencies

  • Negotiation: Strong ability to influence distributors and retail partners to prioritize our brand.

  • Technical IQ: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel) and experience using CRM software for lead tracking and reporting.

  • Resilience: A proven track record of achieving aggressive sales targets in a competitive environment.
