We are seeking a disciplined and strategically-minded Security Coordinator to lead the security and emergency preparedness efforts for our Offshore Platform (SSC) during critical Turnaround (T/A) activities. In this role, you will be the primary architect of the site’s security infrastructure, managing the end-to-end lifecycle of contractor screening, access control, and emergency response. You will ensure that the influx of personnel and materials during the T/A phase does not compromise the platform’s safety. This role requires a blend of rigorous administrative oversight and proactive field coordination to safeguard personnel, assets, and operational continuity.
Requirements:
1. Pre-Turnaround Planning & Contractor Logistics
Security Architecture: Develop and implement a comprehensive security plan specifically tailored for the Turnaround (T/A) phase.
Vetting & Screening: Establish strict screening criteria for all third-party contractors and perform the end-to-end screening process.
Access Control Management: Manage the issuance of contractor passes and credentials, ensuring that only authorized and verified personnel are permitted offshore.
2. On-Site Execution & Offshore Oversight
Emergency Preparedness: Implement and reinforce site-specific security and emergency preparedness plans to mitigate risks in the offshore environment.
Resource Optimization: Identify the need for additional security resources and equipment as the T/A scale increases.
Dynamic Vetting: Continue the screening and pass-issuance process for any additional contractor resources activated during the execution phase.
3. Compliance & Procurement Support
Procurement Liaison: Support the procurement of security-related services and materials, ensuring they meet the technical requirements of the platform.
Audit & Evaluation: Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of security programs, providing reports and recommendations to supervisors or managers.
Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all security protocols comply with maritime security laws and company safety standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
Academic & Professional Background
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Security Management or a related field.
Tenure: Proven experience in industrial or maritime security, with a preference for Offshore/SSC environments.
Project Experience: Previous involvement in Turnaround (T/A) or large-scale industrial shutdown activities is highly desirable.
Core Competencies
Risk Assessment: Ability to identify vulnerabilities in a high-traffic offshore environment.
Personnel Vetting: High proficiency in background checks and contractor compliance documentation.
Crisis Management: Ability to maintain a calm, authoritative demeanor during emergency drills or real-time incidents.
Communication: Clear reporting skills to keep management informed of security trends and resource needs.
