Job Description:
We are seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented Restaurant Operations Supervisor to lead our floor and kitchen teams toward excellence. In this role, you will be the primary driver of the guest experience, ensuring that every plate served and every interaction made meets our premium standards. You will balance the "front-of-house" art of hospitality with the "back-of-house" science of inventory management, staff scheduling, and safety compliance. The ideal candidate is a natural leader who can remain calm under the pressure of a busy service while maintaining a forensic eye on operational costs and sanitation standards.
Requirements:
1. Team Leadership & Service Excellence
Personnel Development: Supervise, train, and motivate both service (waitstaff/barmen) and kitchen teams to deliver consistent, high-quality output.
Workforce Management: Design and manage staff schedules and shift rotations, ensuring optimal coverage during peak hours while controlling labor costs.
The Guest Experience: Act as the final authority on the floor to resolve customer complaints professionally and immediately, turning potential issues into loyalty-building moments.
2. Operational Rigor & Inventory Control
Supply Chain Oversight: Monitor inventory levels daily, handle relationships with vendors, and ensure supplies are restocked without over-ordering.
Quality Assurance: Conduct regular checks to ensure food, beverage, and service standards are never compromised by high volume.
Data-Driven Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales and operational reports, providing management with clear insights into revenue and wastage.
3. Compliance & Safety Governance
Sanitation Leadership: Enforce strict compliance with local health, safety, and sanitation regulations (HACCP principles) to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests.
Facility Maintenance: Oversee the cleanliness and functional state of the restaurant environment, ensuring all equipment is operating at peak efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Experience
Academic: OND, HND, or B.Sc. in Hospitality Management or a related field (preferred).
Tenure: 6 months+ of proven experience as a Restaurant Supervisor, Shift Lead, or a similar leadership role in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Core Competencies
Multitasking Mastery: Ability to manage kitchen bottlenecks, guest requests, and administrative tasks simultaneously.
Communication: Exceptional verbal skills to motivate a diverse team and engage with discerning customers.
Business Acumen: Basic understanding of restaurant "COGS" (Cost of Goods Sold) and sales reporting.
