Job Description:
We are seeking a high-intelligence and clinically agile Radiography Graduate to anchor our diagnostic imaging department in Victoria Island, Lagos. In a premium clinical environment, success is defined by "Imaging Fidelity", the ability to produce high-quality diagnostic scans while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and radiation protection. This role is designed for a "Clinical Professional" who has completed their internship and is ready to blend "Technical Radiographic Knowledge" with the "Empathy" required for superior patient care.
Your mission is to ensure "Absolute Diagnostic Accuracy and a Seamless Patient Experience." You will be a vital member of the clinical team: responsible for executing radiographic procedures, managing specialized imaging equipment, and ensuring that every patient receives professional and compassionate attention. If you possess "Strong Interpersonal Skills," a solid foundation in Radiographic Science, and a proactive approach to clinical learning, we want you to grow with our practice.
Requirements:
1. Diagnostic Imaging & Technical Sovereignty
Procedure Execution: Perform a variety of radiographic examinations (X-rays, and potentially assisting in specialized modalities) with millimetric precision.
Radiation Safety: Strictly adhere to the ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principle to protect patients, staff, and yourself from unnecessary radiation exposure.
Equipment Stewardship: Ensure imaging equipment is handled with care, performing basic quality assurance checks to maintain diagnostic standards.
2. Patient Care & Clinical Diplomacy
Patient Preparation: Explain procedures clearly to patients to alleviate anxiety and ensure their cooperation for optimal positioning.
Safety Screening: Conduct rigorous pre-procedure screenings (especially regarding pregnancy or previous contrast reactions) to minimize clinical risks.
Professional Conduct: Maintain a pristine, professional demeanor that reflects the high standards of a Victoria Island clinical facility.
3. Administrative & Record Integrity
Image Management: Ensure all radiographic images are correctly labeled, stored, and transmitted through the PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) or relevant film protocols.
Documentation Fidelity: Maintain accurate patient records and logs of all radiographic activities for audit and diagnostic tracking.
Team Collaboration: Work synchronously with Radiologists and General Practitioners to ensure timely delivery of diagnostic results.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: B.Sc. in Radiography or a related medical imaging field.
Status: Must have successfully completed the mandatory clinical internship.
NYSC Status: Open to candidates about to begin NYSC or those who have recently completed their service.
Technical Knowledge: Basic mastery of radiographic positioning, anatomy, and radiation physics.
Core Competencies
Communication Prowess: Ability to engage effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds and professional medical staff.
Attention to Detail: Meticulousness in following imaging protocols and identifying technical irregularities.
