Job Description:

We are seeking a highly qualified Lab Technician to execute complex technical laboratory procedures. In this role, you will be responsible for handling sensitive equipment and analyzing diverse samples to produce reliable data that informs critical decision-making.

The ideal candidate is a disciplined professional with experience working in high-stakes environments involving pathogens or hazardous chemicals. You must be deeply committed to safety protocols (QHSE) and possess the technical rigor necessary to maintain a clean, high-functioning laboratory environment.

Requirements:

Sample Management & Analysis

• Processing: Receive, accurately label, and analyze various samples, including biological fluids, tissues, and potentially toxic substances.

• Testing: Design and execute laboratory tests according to standard operating procedures (SOPs), making precise observations and interpreting findings.

• Scientific Inquiry: Conduct controlled experiments to verify or reject hypotheses using refined scientific methods.

Safety & Storage Compliance

• Hazardous Material Handling: Organize and store all chemical substances, fluids, and compressed gases in strict accordance with safety instructions.

• QHSE Adherence: Ensure all safety guidelines are followed at all times to prevent contamination or accidents, maintaining a sterile and orderly workspace.

• Emergency Readiness: Maintain in-depth knowledge of preventative measures for handling flammable liquids, biohazards, and infectious bacteria.

Documentation & Maintenance

• Data Integrity: Record all experimental data and results with absolute accuracy in both paper and electronic formats (Excel/Database systems).

• Inventory & Upkeep: Perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment and assist in the procurement of essential lab supplies.

• Reporting: Prepare detailed technical reports of findings for the Laboratory Manager.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a relevant scientific field.

• Certification: Must possess a valid Laboratory Technician License.

• Experience: * Proven experience as a Lab Technician or in a similar technical laboratory role.

  • Hands-on experience operating both electrical and non-electrical laboratory equipment.

  • Demonstrated experience working with potentially dangerous substances (biohazards, infectious agents, etc.).

• Technical Skills: * Working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and laboratory database systems.

  • In-depth knowledge of QHSE Systems and laboratory best practices.

• Core Competencies:

  • Physical Endurance: Excellent physical condition and the ability to maintain focus during long laboratory sessions.

  • Analytical Rigor: Strong ability to interpret complex data and scientific findings.

  • Pressure Management: Ability to work autonomously and maintain precision under tight deadlines or high-pressure situations.
