Job Description:

We are seeking a highly disciplined and strategic Quality Assurance (Manager) to lead our quality and food safety initiatives. You will be the primary custodian of our brand’s integrity, responsible for ensuring that every product manufactured, sold, and shipped meets rigorous local and international standards. This role requires a blend of technical expertise in ISO and FSMS standards, a proactive approach to continuous process improvement, and the leadership skills to coordinate quality protocols across all departments. Your mission is to move our facility beyond simple "checks" toward a culture of total quality excellence.

Requirements:

1. Standards & Documentation Management

• Framework Development: Create and implement industry-specific quality manuals, protocols, and internal documentation based on recognized standards (e.g., ISO 9001).

• Compliance Research: Keep the organization updated on evolving local, national, and global rules regarding manufacturing, selling, and shipping.

• Certification Liaison: Serve as the primary liaison between management and external standards agencies to secure and maintain company certifications.

2. Production Quality Control & FSMS

• Process Oversight: Ensure strict implementation of quality control procedures at every stage of the production lifecycle.

• Food Safety Mastery: Maintain and enforce Food Safety Management System (FSMS) requirements organization-wide, ensuring zero compromise on consumer safety.

• SOP Adherence: Verify that all production processes are executed in accordance with the most up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

3. Auditing, Testing & Tooling

• Internal Audits: Plan, schedule, and conduct regular internal quality audits to identify gaps and ensure readiness for external inspections.

• Inspection Tech: Select and implement quality inspection software and specialized tools to support the inspection team’s accuracy.

• Product Testing: Execute rigorous product inspections and tests, taking immediate corrective actions to rectify any identified quality problems.

4. Continuous Improvement & Cross-Functional Leadership

Process Optimization: Implement continuous improvements using Lean or Six Sigma manufacturing strategies to reduce waste and enhance efficiency.

    Collaboration: Work closely with Production Engineers, Product Designers, and HR to identify root causes of quality issues and develop training solutions.

    Legal & Management Reporting: Consult with legal counsel on quality-related risks and compile comprehensive quality data/reports for executive management.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience & Background

• Professional Tenure: 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance/Control, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity within the Food & Beverage or Manufacturing sector.

• Standards Expertise: Deep knowledge of ISO standards and HACCP/FSMS frameworks.

• Academic Background: Degree in Food Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Engineering, or a related field.

Core Competencies

• Analytical Precision: Ability to interpret complex quality data and translate it into actionable process improvements.

• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with local and international manufacturing and shipping regulations.

• Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate quality standards across different departments and manage external agency relationships.
