Job Description:
- To ensure that the quality of each product is confirmed against regulatory and customers’ specifications before dispatch to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Beta Glass Production Performance and Quality Standards.
- Provide specifications, test-gauges and samples to guide Forming, Printing, Melting and Cold-End in monitoring product quality.
- Ensure that quality checks (physical and instrumental) are conducted at the right time according to quality plans
- Confirm the quality of products before they are released to warehouse and subsequently to customers.
- Ensure that measuring equipment are calibrated in accordance with specified operating practices.
- Monitors Lehr inspection to ensure prompt feedback of defects for corrections
- Train and motivate employees to carry out required quality tests efficiently to maintain competency and efficiency
- Assist the Quality Assurance Manager to investigate customers’ complaints and recommend corrective actions
- Coordinate shift activities and conduct trend analysis of shift performance in terms of reoccurring defects per line
- Participate and support compliance with the requirements of ISO management systems subscribed to by the organization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Glass Technology, Food Science & Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology and related discipline or related discipline
- 1 - 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Ability to use Microsoft Suites - excel, words and power point
- Good communication oral/written and report writing skills.
