Job Description:
- SAP MDM (Master Data Management) Lead to oversee the design, implementation, and management of master data solutions across the organization.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP MDM tools, processes, and best practices, with a focus on ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and governance.
- This role involves leading a team of MDM specialists, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving the strategic direction of master data management to support business objectives.
- The SAP MDM Lead will play a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
MDM Strategy and Leadership:
- Define and implement the organization’s SAP MDM strategy, roadmap, and governance framework.
- Lead and manage the SAP MDM team, ensuring the successful delivery of master data solutions.
- Align MDM initiatives with business goals and data governance policies.
Master Data Management Implementation:
- Oversee the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP MDM solutions.
- Ensure the integration of master data across SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Manage master data domains such as Customer, Vendor,
- Material, Finance, and Logistics.
Data Governance and Quality:
- Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
- Monitor and improve data quality through regular audits, cleansing, and enrichment activities.
- Resolve data-related issues and provide root cause analysis.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to deliver MDM solutions.
- Conduct workshops and training sessions to educate users on MDM processes and tools.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units to ensure alignment of MDM strategies with business goals.
Project Management:
- Lead end-to-end MDM projects, including requirements gathering, solution design, testing, and deployment.
- Manage timelines, deliverables, and resources for MDM initiatives.
- Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on project progress.
Technical Expertise:
- Utilize SAP MDM tools and technologies to develop and maintain data models, workflows, and validation rules.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to MDM systems.
- Stay updated on the latest SAP MDM trends, tools, and best practices.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within the MDM landscape.
- Recommend and implement enhancements to improve system performance and user experience.
- Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in SAP MDM tools.
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and its implications for master data management.
- Familiarity with data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration techniques.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- SAP MDM or SAP MDG certification is highly desirable.
Experience:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in SAP MDM, with a focus on leading MDM initiatives.
- Proven experience in implementing and managing SAP MDM solutions in large-scale organizations.
- Strong understanding of SAP modules (e.g., FI/CO, SD, MM, HCM/SF) and their integration with MDM.
