Job Description:

We are seeking a high-caliber Quality Assurance Lead to oversee the integrity, safety, and operational excellence of our Business Division in the North. This is a strategic leadership role designed for a professional who views quality not just as a "checklist," but as a competitive advantage.

You will be responsible for institutionalizing world-class benchmarks, from ISO certifications and NAFDAC compliance to rigorous supplier audits. Your mission is to ensure that every raw material, production process, and finished product meets the highest global standards for food safety and quality. If you are a certified auditor with a "zero-defect" mindset and the ability to lead multi-disciplinary HSE/Quality teams, we want you to drive our quality strategy.

Requirements:

1. Strategic Quality Governance

• Strategic Roadmap: Develop and implement QA policies that align with relevant legislation and internal strategic goals.

• Process Auditing: Lead cross-functional audits to identify bottlenecks, diagnose quality complaints, and implement corrective actions.

• Data Mastery: Utilize statistical analysis tools to compile and present quality metrics that inform executive decision-making.

2. Food Safety & Technical Excellence

• Regulatory Stewardship: Enforce strict conformity to Food Safety Standards, cGMP, GHP, and GLP across all operational sites.

• Material Integrity: Oversee the verification of raw materials and packaging, ensuring 100% compliance with specifications before production.

• Analytical Oversight: Manage laboratory testing and analytical procedures in line with approved work instructions to ensure product safety.

3. Supplier & Regional Management

• Supplier Certification: Audit, verify, and certify suppliers based on rigorous quality and food safety standards; issue compliance ratings for all vendors.

• Regional Leadership: Plan and supervise the Quality/HSE functions across the Abuja/North region, mentoring and reviewing the work of direct reports.

• Risk & Crisis Control: Lead investigations into customer complaints and take immediate steps to control and mitigate potentially unsafe or sub-standard products.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Pedigree

• Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Natural/Physical Science or Manufacturing Management.

• Experience: 5–6 years of experience in a similar senior QA role within a regulated industry (Food, Pharma, or Manufacturing).

• Certifications: Possession of a relevant certification such as Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or Quality Auditor is essential.

Knowledge Base

• Safety Protocols: Expert knowledge of Food Safety, Fire Safety, and OH&E (Occupational Health & Environment).

• Compliance Standards: Deep familiarity with ISO standards, NAFDAC, and SON regulations.

• Analytical Tools: Proficient in data analysis software and statistical process control (SPC) methods.
