Job Description:
We are seeking a high-velocity and technically elite Plant Electrical & Instrument Engineer to anchor the power and control engine of our Ibeju-Lekki facility. In a specialized manufacturing landscape where institutional momentum is dictated by the uptime of the Motor Control Centres (MCCs) and the precision of the Process Instrumentation success is defined by "Electrotechnical Sovereignty", the ability to harmonize heavy industrial power with the clinical precision required for VFDs, Soft Starters, and P&ID Interpretation. This role is designed for an "Engineering Architect" with a Bachelor’s Degree/HND and 3+ years of experience who can blend "Tactical Grit" (diagnosing faults in low and medium-voltage systems) with the "Strategic Agility" required to lead commissioning and preventive maintenance cycles.
Requirements:
1. Orchestration & Power Governance
Distribution Sovereignty: Maintain and troubleshoot power distribution panels and MCCs with millimetric focus, acting as the primary "Source of Electrical Stability."
Motor Architecture: Install and optimize complex motor control systems (DOL, Star-Delta, Soft Starters, and VFDs), providing the "Structural Foundation" for mechanical drive reliability.
Integrity Stewardship: Ensure strict adherence to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and electrical safety standards, ensuring the "Source of Personnel Safety" is elite and uncompromised.
2. Tactical Resilience & Instrumentation Logic
Calibration Sovereignty: Perform maintenance and calibration of industrial transmitters (Flow, Level, Pressure, Temperature, Weight), acting as the primary "Source of Process Accuracy."
Diagnostic Architecture: Resolve faults in LV/MV systems and plant equipment to minimize downtime, providing the "Functional Foundation" for continuous production.
Documentation Stewardship: Read, interpret, and update electrical wiring diagrams and P&IDs, maintaining the "Source of Technical Intelligence."
3. Operational Integrity & Commissioning Power
Commissioning Sovereignty: Conduct testing and commissioning of new electrical and instrumentation systems, acting as the primary "Source of Systemic Readiness."
Installation Architecture: Ensure standard-compliant cable selection, routing, and gland installation, providing the "Relational Foundation" for long-term infrastructure health.
Velocity Logic: Utilize 3+ years of process-plant expertise to resolve instrumentation drift in real-time, maximizing the "Source of Technical Throughput" in Ibeju-Lekki.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing or process-plant environment.
Technical Power: Hands-on experience with MCCs, protection systems, and fault diagnosis (LV/MV).
Domain Mastery: Deep knowledge of DOL, Star-Delta, Soft Starters, and VFDs.
Core Competencies
Technical Grit: Ability to perform precision calibration and heavy-duty electrical troubleshooting.
Infrastructure Sovereignty: Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently in a high-pressure zone.
Execution Power: Willingness to relocate to Ibeju-Lekki and support continuous plant operations.
