Job Description:
Greyfield Hotel & Apartments is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Learning and Performance Manager. This dual-impact role is responsible for ensuring our workforce is both highly skilled and meticulously held to world-class service standards. You will design the training frameworks that empower our staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences while managing the performance systems that drive productivity and business growth. From onboarding the next generation of hospitality talent to coaching senior managers on KPI delivery, you will be the primary architect of our high-performance culture.
Requirements:
1. Learning & Development (L&D) Strategy
Capability Mapping: Conduct comprehensive training needs assessments (TNA) across all departments (Front Office, F&B, Maintenance, Housekeeping) to bridge skill gaps.
Curriculum Design: Develop and oversee onboarding, leadership tracks, and technical service training (e.g., hospitality etiquette, conflict resolution).
Vendor & Resource Management: Manage e-learning platforms and external training consultants, ensuring all programs are practical and ROI-focused.
2. Performance Management & Accountability
System Design: Implement and refine the performance management framework, including the definition of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for every role.
Appraisal Oversight: Lead the full appraisal cycle—from goal setting and mid-year reviews to final annual evaluations.
Coaching & Feedback: Train departmental managers on how to deliver constructive feedback, performance coaching, and corrective action plans.
3. Talent Development & Reporting
Succession Planning: Identify "High-Potential" (HiPo) employees and create Individual Development Plans (IDPs) to ensure a steady leadership pipeline.
Data-Driven Insights: Maintain dashboards to track learning effectiveness and performance trends, presenting regular impact reports to senior management.
Culture Stewardship: Drive a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that hospitality service standards are not just met, but exceeded.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Experience
Academic Background: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field (Master’s or professional certification like CIPM/CIPD/SHRM is a plus).
Proven Tenure: Significant experience in L&D and Performance Management, ideally within the Hospitality or Service Industry.
Systems Proficiency: Experience with Performance Management Software and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Core Competencies
Strategic Influence: Ability to coach and influence senior leaders on people-performance strategies.
Facilitation Skills: Exceptional presentation and training skills with a "lead-by-example" hospitality mindset.
Analytical Mindset: Ability to translate behavioral trends and training data into business outcomes.
