Job Description:
We are launching a lean, fast-moving, and tech-driven analytical laboratory in Abuja to provide world-class services to the mining and exploration sector. We aren't just looking for staff; we are looking for the Founding Team—the innovators and precision-seekers who will build the regional benchmark for geochemical excellence from the ground up.
If you are proactive, technically formidable, and ready to move from "paper-based" workflows to a modern, digital laboratory environment, we want to hear from you.
Requirements:
1. Sample Preparation Geochemist (The Foundation)
The Role: You own the start of the analytical chain. You will manage drying, crushing, and pulverizing protocols, ensuring absolute zero cross-contamination.
Must-have: Deep knowledge of mineralogy and a mastery of the "dust-to-data" workflow.
2. Analysis Unit Geochemist (The Specialist)
The Role: Overseeing the "High-Tech" core. You will manage sample digestion and instrument runs, specifically focusing on ICP-OES operations.
Must-have: Strong grasp of chemical interference, matrix effects, and rigorous QA/QC protocols.
3. Analysis Unit Laboratory Analyst (The Engine)
The Role: High-precision, hands-on lab execution. You will handle accurate pipetting, weighing, and reagent preparation to support the geochemists.
Must-have: A "Safety-First" mindset and the steady hand required for high-volume, high-accuracy analysis.
4. Data Analyst & Reporter (The Voice)
The Role: Converting raw machine output into clean, industry-compliant Certificates of Analysis (COA).
Must-have: Advanced Excel/Power BI skills and a "sixth sense" for spotting data outliers and anomalies.
5. Maintenance Technician – Sample Prep (The Guardian)
The Role: Ensuring 24/7 operational uptime. You are responsible for the health of our heavy-duty crushers, pulverizers, and lab infrastructure.
Must-have: Mechanical/Electrical background with a proactive "Preventative Maintenance" philosophy.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Relevant Degree (B.Sc/HND) in Geochemistry, Chemistry, Geology, or Engineering.
Precision: A track record of work where accuracy was the top priority.
Tech-Native: Comfort using digital tools (No "messy paper trails" here).
Location: Must be resident in or able to relocate to Abuja.
