Job Description:

We are seeking a vigilant and skilled IT Security Analyst to serve as the first line of defense for our digital infrastructure. As our organization grows, so does the complexity of our security landscape. You will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and protecting our systems, networks, and data from evolving cybersecurity threats. This is a critical role for a detail-oriented professional who excels at identifying risks, responding to incidents, and maintaining robust security frameworks. Requirements:

• Threat Detection & Monitoring: Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM, firewalls, and IDS/IPS tools. Proactively review system and network logs to identify suspicious or anomalous activity.

• Incident Response: Detect, investigate, and lead the response to cybersecurity incidents to minimize impact and ensure business continuity.

• Vulnerability & Risk Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing. Perform detailed risk assessments and recommend effective mitigation strategies to harden our defenses.

• Security Controls & Compliance: Implement and maintain best-in-class security controls. Ensure all systems remain in compliance with internal security policies and regulatory standards.

• Collaboration & Strategy: Work closely with IT teams to secure infrastructure and applications. Prepare detailed reports on security incidents and our overall risk posture.

• Threat Intelligence: Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

• Technical Skills: * Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls).

  • Proven experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems.

  • Proficiency with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection software.

  • Understanding of cybersecurity threats, vulnerability management, and risk assessment frameworks.

  • Advantageous: Basic scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) to automate tasks and analysis.

• Certifications (Preferred): Possession of relevant certifications is highly desirable, including:

  • CompTIA Security+

  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)

  • CISSP (highly preferred for experienced candidates)

  • GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC)

• Mindset: A methodical, analytical approach to problem-solving with the ability to remain calm and decisive during high-pressure security incidents.
